Forest Survival — Official Trailer

Fifty-seven seconds, captured from the game itself. No narration, no live action, no pre-rendered cinematic — just the guns, the robots and the ground you fight them on.

What you are watching

The robots

Forest Survival's enemies are machines, and the trailer makes no secret of it: the forest has been overrun by hostile machines. Their armour plating is generated procedurally, hits leave dents and scuffs that stay on the chassis for the rest of the run, and rounds throw sparks off the metal instead of blood. Ten archetypes exist in the full game, from the 50 HP Normal and the 30 HP Fast that sidesteps your bullets to the 900 HP Overlord boss — the whole roster is broken down on the robot enemy guide.

The biomes

Forest Survival's eight maps each own a distinct biome, so the footage is not all one green clearing. Deep Forest is “a thick, ancient forest with towering trees, fallen logs, and mushroom clusters”; Scorched Wasteland is “a charred landscape of obsidian pillars, lava pools, and smoldering embers”; Twilight Vale sits under “a deep purple dusk sky”. Weather runs live in all of them — six storm species, and a sandstorm or blizzard genuinely cuts how far robots can pick you out. Every map is described on the map list.

The guns

Forest Survival's weapon handling is the detail worth rewinding for. Reloads matter mechanically, not just visually: hit the active-reload window between 42% and 62% of the animation and the reload snaps to 200 ms. The Sniper is the only weapon with a true scoped takeover, over-penetrating up to two extra bodies. The Subverter deals zero damage and instead hacks a robot into fighting its own kind for 6.5 seconds before it detonates as an EMP. All eight are stat-listed on the weapons page.

What the game is

Forest Survival is a free 3D first-person shooter where you survive endless waves of hostile robots across eight biome maps, playable instantly in any modern browser. Waves are endless — there is no win condition, only how deep you get. Before a run you choose one of eight character classes, each with its own active ability bound to Q, and one of four difficulties: Easy, Medium, Hard or Adaptive. Weapons unlock by score as you play, at a threshold that scales with the difficulty you picked. Start with the how-to-play page for controls, or the full guide for everything underneath.

Where to play

Forest Survival runs at forestsurvival.live with nothing to install. Solo and Tutorial need no account at all — open the page, pick a map, play. Only Multiplayer asks you to sign in, because it links you into a peer-to-peer WebRTC lobby of up to eight players with no game server behind it; the details are on the multiplayer page. Phones and tablets are supported in landscape, with a full on-screen control set and a drag-to-arrange HUD editor.

Trailer FAQ

How long is the Forest Survival trailer?

The Forest Survival trailer is 57 seconds long. It is a single MP4 served from the game's own domain and played by your browser's built-in video controls, so nothing loads from a third-party player — and because the file is large, it only starts downloading once you press play.

Is the trailer real gameplay?

Yes, the trailer is footage of the game running in a browser. Forest Survival is hand-written Three.js r180 on WebGL2 with post-processing like bloom and god-rays, and every in-game sound effect and the combat score are synthesized live rather than streamed from audio files. The build details are on the about page, and common questions are answered in the FAQ.
